Thomas Russell is the Director of Cyber Education for the National Cybersecurity Center. The National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit for cyber innovation and awareness. Established in 2016 from the vision of United States Senator from Colorado John Hickenlooper, in coordination with several people from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) and the community, the NCC serves both public and private organizations and individuals through leadership, education, and collaboration.

 

As the Cyber Education Program Manager for the Student Alliance, Thomas:

• Runs cybersecurity summer camps.
• Provides education and certification training for K-12 and adults.
• Organizes cyber events such as capture the flag competitions.
• Trains teachers to teach cybersecurity.
• Forges relationships between businesses and educational institutions.
• Provides training and curriculum to teachers for K-12.
